2010高考命题趋向分析：
1.preserve为新课标重点单词。意思：vt 保存，保留；n 保护区。考点主要是它作为动词的意思，其中07年上海卷对它保存，保留这一层意思进行了考查。考查形式主要是单项选择和完形填空。另外，还要注意它与reserve的区别，reserve的意思是保留，储存
比较容易混淆。2010年考生应重视两个单词的区别。
2.whichever为新课标重点单词。意思为无论哪一个，主要考点是它的意思及与whatever的区别。Whatever意思是无论什么，无限定择范围，而whichever为无论哪一个有限定范围，其中06年山东卷对只一点进行了考查。另外，考生还应掌握后缀为ever的这一类词，如whenever,wherever,whoever,whomever,however等，06年江西卷对wherever进行了考查。2010年，考生应该重视这一类词的用法。
3.no wonder 为新课标重点短语。 翻译为不足为奇，不足为怪主要考查角度是固定句型It is no wonder that ,重点是it is,，05年湖北卷对这一句型进行了考查；还应该注意它与there is no doubt that ...... 是毫无疑问的及there is no need to do 没有必要做某事的区别。2010年有可能考查以上用法。
4.get close to为新课标重点短语。意思是接近，靠近。考查重点为它的意思，以及close不可以换成closely，也就是两者的区别。另外，注意to的词性为介词。考生还应该注意与get相关的其他短语，如get through, get over, get around等，09年全国卷I和四川卷对get through的接通，打通的意思进行了考查。 2010年仍作为复习的重点，考查的重要考点。
